Now my 66bug is road legal... I plan to document some on the runs "out on the road". The structural and body restoration has now finished, so I can now enjoy making use of the bug... getting out and about.. see people, them seeing me... and all that. So where have I been so far??? 19th Jan 01I told a few people at my work about the bUg resto.. and well, I get a call from out of the blue from a magazine wanting to do an article on the me and the bug.. great. So today the editor sent over a photographer.. out we went and took a load of shots.. here are some that I took at the same time..
17th Jan 01I met up with Andy (the previous owner) and took the bug for its first run over to Finchley, in North London and met up with a load of other buggers.... and a nice run and evening it was too. The bug ran like a dream... a bit bumpy,,, but never the less, a nice ride. I drove there.. and on the way back I let Andy take the wheel... it really took him back.. arrrrr!!!! |
Bug being used as a weekly driver. Running very smooth and still a pleasure to drive.
